(April 11, 2014) The Nantucket Music Festival, scheduled for Aug. 2 and 3 at Tom Nevers Field, has released its 2014 lineup, which is heavy on the singer-songwriter and reggae genres.
The two-day festival will feature Guster, Steel Pulse, Donavon Frankenreiter, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Ayla Brown, Ben Taylor, Chadwick Stokes, Entrain and Freddie Clarke. Bruce Hornsby will be performing at a special dinner show for VIP guests both nights.
Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Festival co-founders Cheryl Emery and Cynthia Dareshori have been planning the festival since coming up with the idea while attending the New Orleans Jazz Festival last May, Emery said. Since then, the two have been working hard to coordinate the best time, location, and available resources with town officials.
Two-day ticket packages range from $280 for general admission to $960 for VIP passes. Tickets and more information are available on the festival’s website, nantucketmusicfestival.com. A maximum of 3,900 tickets will be available each day, with concerts on two stages from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
